Fernando from Meat World Verwoerdpark and the Institute for Maths Research have adopted learners.
“We at the Institute for Maths Research, specialise in mathematics, science and languages. We also assist learners in all other subjects. We have an amazing success rate as it is our passion to teach and assist learners individually and focus on each child’s individual needs,” said Jodean Bezuidenhout, who manages the institute.
“We deal with learners and families who are desperate for extra assistance on a daily basis because the education at school might just not be enough for them as individuals. These learners are very willing to work very hard towards a better future.”
“This is where we come in. With the help and assistance from companies and the community, we want to give these hard-working and driven learners the opportunity to achieve success, but sometimes finances might be a struggle.
“Meat World Verwoerdpark has sponsored 12 learners in and around Alberton for the whole of 2018. These learners will receive the necessary assistance.
“The Institute for Maths Research and the learners would like to thank Fernando at Meat World Verwoerdpark for making a dream a reality for these learners.
Here is what some of the learners had to say:
- Kundai Kimberly Chaipa ( Grade 9 ) – “Thank you for giving me the opportunity to help me make my grades higher, specially in Afrikaans. Thank you Fernando and Mathgro.”
- Megan van Zyl ( Graad 5 ) – “Ek wil dankie sê vir tannie Jodean by Mathgro en baie dankie oom Fernando by Meat World dat julle my gaan help om goed te doen in die skool.”
- Juvan Griesel ( Graad 3 ) – “ Baie dankie, ek waardeer dat julle my help.”
Jodean Bezuidenhout also thanked Meat World Verwoerdpark’s manager, Fernando Abreu.
“Your donation has already made a very big difference in the lives of these learners. Just wait till you see their progress,” she concluded.
