Bajari Ba Ientswe Gospel Choir in need of assistance

The choir’s aim is to prevent teenage pregnancy, juvenile delinquencies, drug use and crime.

BAJARI Ba Ientswe Gospel Choir will be 21 years old this year.

The choir has about 32 members, ranging in ages from 12 to 44 and comes from various churches and communities, namely Eden Park, Greenfields, Palmridge and Tsietsie.

Most of the choir members are unemployed or still at school and are determined to practice every day.

This brings out changes and development in the communities, with the help of the very committed music director, Thato Mokibitla.

The choir’s aim is to prevent teenage pregnancy, juvenile delinquencies, drug use and crime.

They would like to recruit younger children to keep them safe after school and keep them focused on the community and praising and worshiping.

Representatives for the choir say there are stumbling blocks because of limited resources, funds for travelling to perform, paying for studios, uniforms and the fee to enter competitions.

The choir asks that if anyone would be willing to help them to please contact Christina on 071 423 2510 or 084 534 9900.
