WORLD Spay Day is on February 27, so Alberton SPCA’s visiting vet is offering a special deal.
On February 26, March 1 and March 2 people can still come in to sterilise their pets for less money. “We are mainly focussing on female cats. Two unsterilised cats that have kittens that then also have kittens, can produce 420,000 more kittens in seven years. Sterilisation is also healthier for the animal,” said Vanja Ingold from the Alberton SPCA.
The cost of sterilisations for those three days only will be R370 for a female cat, R270 for a male cat and R550 for a dog. People have to book with the office on 011 907 1568 and quote ‘World Spay Day’ when booking so they get the special cash price. “We won’t accept cards. If people want to donate towards a sterilisation, then they can deposit money into our ABSA account: Alberton SPCA, account number 102 447 1574, branch code 632 005 with the reference ‘Spay Day’, or go to the branch to make a deposit,” she concluded.
