Five plants to liven your home

You should definitely get a few plants to add some life to your home.

HOUSEPLANTS are not only pretty, they are also functional. They purify the air and create a peaceful ambience.

Spending time around plants and nature is linked to reduced stress levels, according to Dutch scientists. Most houseplants don’t require a lot of maintenance, either. You should definitely get a few plants to add some life to your home.

Here are five of the best plants to keep in your home.

ENGLISH IVY: According to Nasa scientists, this is the best air-filtering plant you can keep in your house. It looks prettiest hanging from the wall and requires a medium amount of sunlight.
SPIDER PLANT: A spider plant is extremely easy to grow and maintain, and it also keeps the air nice and pure. Be sure to keep a few around the house (especially the kitchen, where the cleaning materials are kept).
BAMBOO PALM: This is also described as one of the best air-cleaning plants your home can have. Water it well and keep it in indirect sunshine.
SNAKE PLANT: Keep one of these plants in the bedroom, because unlike a lot of plants, it releases oxygen during the night. It’s easy to maintain as it does not require a lot of water or sunshine.
