Valentine’s Day for cancer survivors

To spread love and care to those who are ill without anyone to love, was the message that went out.

ON the day of love, Eden Park Cansurvive Support Group took it upon themselves to spread some love and happiness.

The group took to the streets to surprise members with gifts on Valentine’s Day. Three brave and caring ladies of the group, with a never die attitude, visited every member of the group to deliver something special on the day.

“We are going from house to house to our members to give out small gifts. We know that some of our members are single and don’t have a special someone from whom they will get a single rose, a card or a chocolate. This is where we come in, to show that we love and care for everyone,” said Rhona Pieters.

The Cansurvive Support Group was established in February 2107 by women who are cancer survivors. The group consists of 41 members, with five who represent their board. They regularly visit all the members.
