Peanut’s birthday bash

This year Peanut will celebrate his sixth birthday with a colour run.

THE Annual Peanut Birthday Walk will take place on March 17 at Gillooly’s Farm, Bedfordview. This year’s theme is a colour run and Peanut will be celebrating his sixth birthday with all his supporters. He will also be cutting his birthday cake to share with his furry friends. Peanut’s owner, Adri Nel, adopted him from Alberton SPCA on May 10, 2012. Adri is the chairperson of Alberton SPCA and has three other dogs and one cat.

“Adopting Peanut was the best thing ever. He has changed my life for the better. He is a real mommy’s boy and I can’t spend a day without him,” said Adri.

Registration starts at 9.30am with the walk at 10am. All dogs must be on a lead and no dogs under six months are permitted. Various competitions will also be held, so bring the family and your dog and have a fun time supporting the SPCA.

The walk is being held in conjunction with the Germiston/Bedfordview SPCA. There will be various stands selling food and drink and it’s going to be a fantastic colourful day. For further information please check our Facebook page or call Adri on 076 591 4600.

Please remember the SPCA receives no government funding and is entirely reliant on the public for support.
