EASTER is fast approaching and if you haven’t booked your dog or cat into a boarding facility it’s important you do so as soon as possible.
Space is limited over public holidays, so make sure you arrange for your pets to be cared for if you are going to be away. “You cannot leave dogs and cats without care and it is important to make suitable arrangements in advance as kennel spaces get booked up quickly. If you are planning to go away, please ensure you have made suitable plans for the care of your pets. It is important you get your pet booked in early to ensure you are not disappointed. We only have limited space at the Alberton SPCA,” said Vanja Ingold, the honorary secretary.
To board your pet at Alberton SPCA you must become a member of the SPCA at a cost of R50 per annum. When you board your pet you must ensure all vaccinations are up to date as proof will be required by the boarding kennel/cattery in question. Vaccinations must be done at least 10 days prior to entry into the kennels otherwise we have the right to refuse to admit the pet in question.
If you wish to book a place, please contact the office on 011 907 1568 or alternatively come to our offices in Lincoln Road, General Alberts Park to complete the necessary paperwork. A 50 per cent deposit is required for all boarders and the balance needs to be paid on admission.
“Please don’t leave your pets’ arrangements to the last minute. They give you unconditional love 365 days a year, so please show them the same respect,” said Vanja.
