We asked local residents how they would feel if Rietvlei Zoo Farm had to close down and here are some responses.

SKYE OLCKERS Rietvlei Zoo is an important monument and part of the South. People work hard and enjoy going to Rietvlei to refresh and relax. No one should ruin a family place.
NCEBA POTWANE It won’t be nice to close Rietvlei Zoo Farm because we love to take our children there on weekends for sports and it is a good place to keep our children away from bad things.
MIA DAGANE I wouldn’t feel too good. I have a little boy and I love to show him animals. Other parks are a bit far so Rietvlei is convenient for us as residents of the South.
PULENG MOLEFE Our children go on school excursions there and it won’t be right if it had to close down. It’s a good destination to enjoy sports and a day out with family at the restaurants.
NOXOLO SELEPE It wouldn’t be right to close Rietvlei because our children love to visit it. Where will schools go for excursions and sport activities?
