In celebration of World Milk Day, which takes place on June 1, Woodlands Dairy visited preschools in our area to teach them about where milk comes from and what milk is used for. They visited Creative Academy School of Excellence in Alberton on May 31 and Bright Sparks Crèche in Eden Park on June 1.

Woodlands gave the children a presentation that showed the processing of milk from cows to their kitchen tables. They also explained the value of milk as a regular part of a balanced diet and important source of calcium. The children were given tasters of various different flavours of flavoured milk, showing them that for even those that don’t like the taste of milk, there are other options available.
