WITH Father’s Day that’s just passed, the RECORD asked a few local men what their favourite part of being a father is.
MARIUS VAN WYK: “To see how my children grow up, develop their own personalities and achieve their own successes is my favourite part of being a dad. Also, they can go fetch the TV remote for me.”GYS MANS: “I enjoy helping my children and being a good role model for them. They make me so proud with their achievements and being a father is a wonderful experience for me.”DEWALD POTGIETER: “I am the blessed father of a son and a daughter. To be there for them and to be able to support them with more than just my wallet, is the best part of being a dad.”PIETER LOMBARD: “To be able to spoil my child when he was young, and that he can spoil me now he’s older, is a big privilege for me. I’m also the proud grandfather of two boys.”
