Verwoerdpark Karate Academy excel at nationals

Students from the Verwoerdpark Karate Academy held their own during the South African Japan Karate Association, JKA, provincial and national championships which were held recently in Johannesburg.

STUDENTS from the Verwoerdpark Karate Academy held their own during the South African Japan Karate Association, JKA, provincial and national championships which were held recently in Johannesburg.

Sensei Damien Bothma is very proud of his students and said that they have worked hard to achieve at the national championships.

Verwoerd Park Karate Academy caters for juniors, dinkies as well as senior students who are interested in joining the club.

Dinkies train from 6pm to 6.45pm and juniors at 6.45pm to 7.30pm every Tuesday and Thursday excluding school holidays.

Both Shotokan and JKA classes are provided for students as well as classes for discipline, self-defence and fitness.

The club is situated at 7 Aalwyn Avenue, Verwoerdpark, Alberton.

GREAT STUDENTS: Verwoerdpark Karate Academy students who competed at the various championships over the past few months and held their own.
