Matric project was a success

Zanelle is thankful for all the help she received.

THIS year marks the first year of my very first matric project where it was my main focus to help as many matriculants in Alberton and surrounding areas to get ready for their matric farewell.

As little girls, we always dream about not only our weddings but our matric farewell. This year we helped quite a number of learners getting everything done for them – from their nails, make-up and hair to the final touches of the dress and shoes.

It was my privilege to have the chance to change young lives.

I just want to thank everyone for their donations towards this project. Also to everyone who helped us to get the girls ready for the farewell.

I also want to thank Lienke Pretorius from Linx Art Photography who donated free photo shoots to the girls.

My goal is to help more learners next year. I just feel some do not get the chance to go to their farewells due to not being able to afford it and that is why I started this project.

I also want to thank my mother and grandmother for all their support and also a big thank you to the RECORD for the coverage throughout the year.

Alone I might not change the world, but with the help from family, friends and the community I can and I will. To all the learners who were involved in the project, I just want to say you all looked beautiful.
