Amendment to firearm act leaked
A draft for the amendment of the firearm control act has been leaked and is doing the rounds.
A DRAFT of a proposed amendment to the Firearm Control Act has been leaked and is currently doing the rounds on social media.
The draft changes to the act remove self-defence as a valid reason for the ownership of a firearm. The effect of this change to the act is yet to be seen.
The proposed act has not been seen in cabinet and at the moment it is unclear when the proposed amendment will be brought before cabinet.
To get a clearer idea of the importance of firearm ownership for self-defence we will be talking to locals, law enforcement and security agencies.
