Kenton Primary says goodbye to Caryll and Linda

“Caryll and Linda left a wonderful legacy at Kenton Primary after so many years of service.”

KENTON Primary School sadly says goodbye to two ladies who retired after many loyal years at this school.

They are Caryll Allworth, receptionist and administrator since 1989 and Linda Oppermann, junior phase teacher since 1981.

Caryll’s last day, after 30 years, will be on January 31 and Linda’s last day, after 38 years, was on December 31.

“These past 30 years have had its challenges and many changes at the school, but it’s been a privilege to be a part of this school’s development – from its beginning as a bare patch of grass, to the beautiful, vibrant school it is today. It has been exciting to see the many changes the school has undergone,” Caryll said.

Linda said: “To all the wonderful learners that I’ve taught through the years, and even their grandchildren that I’ve taught: I hope that you’ll always keep the Kenton tradition of ‘Ever Upwards’ in mind throughout your life journeys.”

Kenton’s principal, Cheryl Young, stated that Caryll and Linda left a wonderful legacy at Kenton Primary after so many years of service – they’ll always remain a part of it.
