AMCARE and Lindsay Saker team up to put smiles on faces

Giving something back for the less fortunate

This year Lindsay Saker Alberton did not have their annual staff party. Instead, they spent time with the less fortunate members of the community on December 7.

The Amcare premises, Alberton was packed with presents filled with sweets. There were pizzas delivered from Burger De Luxe in Alberton North and cold drinks were also donated by them.

The social workers of AMCARE arranged for a group of 150 orphans from the surrounding communities in their OVC programme to attend this special Christmas party.

“We wanted to do something that reflected the true spirit of this season: we wanted to give something back,” said Marcia Mayaba (Principal dealer at Lindsay Saker).

Marcia’s staff worked together to collect much needed items for the AMCARE food bank which was also delivered that day.

“We want to thank Lindsay Saker for helping us bring light in a sometimes very dark world for these children,” said Percy Howroyd (Administrator at AMCARE). – “For these children, the Christmas spirit will shine a bit brighter this year.”
