Junior golf clinic success
A few coaches have started an annual Junior Golf Clinic which will be held at Reading Country Club.
NEW REDRUTH – A few golf coaches started the clinic a year ago in aid of keeping kids busy during school holidays, teaching them more than just how to play golf.
On December 5 the annual event took place at Reading Country Club with children learning how to put, pitch and bunker play.
Many of the younger children look up to the bigger kids, wanting to become just like them. Although they are taught the game, golf is so much more…it is a team sport where the children are also taught etiquette which they can use in all things in life.
They work hard and build new friendships…good friends who all share the same interest. They learn technique, how to work in a team and how to behave on the course.
The coaches also run a golf academy from Reading CC which also teaches children the game, while keeping them busy and out of trouble over the festive season and school holiday.
