Ward 38 welcomes a historian

WARD 38 has appointed Alfred Msimaka as sport, heritage, recreation, arts and culture historian of the ward.

This follows a council resolution on January 31, prompting all ward committees in the City of Ekurhuleni to create the position of a ward historian by January 2020.

The aim of the ward historian is to ensure the history of the area is well captured and that potential historical moments are captured and recorded for future generations.

The public is encouraged to help with recording historic moments in the ward by contacting Alfred Msimaka on 079 147 4922 to make submissions or find out more information.
