FATHERS and granddads dedicated their June 14 morning to celebrate Father’s Day at Train Kids Preschool Academy.
Learners at the academy had a chance to spend some quality time with their paternal parents. The parents, together with their children, worked on artwork which was to be presented to dads as a gift for Father’s Day.
The children unleashed their talents and creativity as they made numerous colourful artworks.
Leoni Boucher, principal at the academy, also shared traits of being a hard-working ‘super hero’ to dads.
According to Christali Botha, director at the academy, the event focused mainly on building strong bonds between fathers and their children.
“This event was not the first of its kind and it continues to unite children and their dads. As the school, we believe through this event children will adore and have the very same connection mothers have with their children,” she said.
Gavin Wertheimer, a father of two, said the event brought him closer to his children.
“I spent some time with my children and it was a great feeling. Even though I was the one who did most of the artwork, that on its own was amazing,” said Wertheimer.
