New committee to be chosen at Alberton SPCA AGM

Everyone is invited to attend, but only paid-up members can vote for a new committee.

THE Alberton SPCA is holding an AGM on July 27 at 12.30pm at their premises in Lincoln Road, General Alberts Park.

Everyone is invited to attend, but only paid-up members can vote for a new committee.

If anyone would like to join the committee, please send a letter of motivation to chairperson@spcaalberton.org.za

“Unless we have a strong committee, we cannot continue with our mission to care for the animals under our protection and prevent cruelty to animals,” said Carol Marneweck, chairperson of the Alberton SPCA.

“One of the committee’s role is to raise funds as the SPCA receives no government funding and is entirely reliant on the local community to support us. While it involves quite a lot of work, it is also very rewarding knowing you are making a difference,” she added.

To become a member of the SPCA costs R50 per annum and forms can be obtained from the office or from chairperson@spcaalberton.org.za
