SIBUSISO NTOMBELA: "The department is a total fail. I do not even know why they still exist because they never tend to customers. People have expired licence discs and driver’s licences and they get taken off the road, but there is no assistance here."
RESIDENTS have been complaining about the poor service at the Alberton Licensing Department. The RECORD took to the streets to give residents the opportunity to voice their concerns about the situation. This is what the residents had to say.
STANLEY NATHANSON: “The department is really not useful to the community because they always turn people away. It’s either that they are offline or having some kind of a problem.”
JASON THEBA: “I have never experienced any issue at the licensing department, but I have heard people complaining about the poor service.”
ANDILE MOYO: “If it were up to me they would not be allowed to continue to function because they are dysfunctional. The workers will be busy chatting while people are waiting to be assisted.”
SFISO NKAMBULE: “Alberton Licensing Department is the worst to ever go to because they never serve customers. The staff chit-chat the whole time, not doing anything. It’s really frustrating.”
