Ladies get together for bowls heptagon
The Heptagon Ladies 4’s Tournament sees 72 ladies competing against each other over a span of seven weeks.
EVERY Tuesday, over a span of seven weeks between June and July, 72 ladies will be travelling to the local bowling greens in Alberton, Brackenhurst, Delville, Herbert Park and Reading Country Club, to partake in the Heptagon Ladies 4’s Tournament.
“The trophy is strongly contested among various teams from their respective clubs, but the comaraderie and good fellowship among the ladies is wonderful,” said Joan Kissane of the Reading Bowling Club.
“The day comes with delicious tea being served by the hosting club.”
Joan challenges anyone interested in bowls to give it a try. “There is a club just around the corner from you, so please call around, meet new friends, have a chat with their coaches and join in the fun and companionship.”
