Green Plastic Designs helps Alberton SPCA keep dogs warm this winter

Green Plastic Designs handed over plastic dog beds to the Alberton SPCA on June 25.

THE Alberton SPCA spoiled its dogs with brand new plastic dog beds to keep them warm during the cold winter months ahead.

The SPCA bought 32 beds from Green Plastic Designs at a reduced price, using some of their fund-raising money to have customised beds made.

The beds fit comfortably into their kennels and have feet raising them off the cold concrete floor.

Lauren Martens, a fund-raising committee member at the SPCA, said the new beds are stronger than the ones they used before.

She said the old dog beds were easily chewed up by the dogs and needed replacing every few weeks.

Petros Maina and Lerato Masithela from Green Plastic Designs handed the new dog beds over to the SPCA.
