Mandela Day 2019

What are you doing for your 67 minutes on July 18?

“WHAT counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.” – Nelson Mandela

What are you doing for your 67 minutes on July 18? Why not help us support survivors of rape and abuse by donating or assisting with our Comfort Pack Project?

To you it might be a bag with items of toiletries … for a survivor at a point where they feel at their lowest having experienced the worst day of their lives, and most vulnerable, receiving a bag of comfort items has a huge impact in the healing process.

What you can do for your 67 minutes:

• Collect content items prior to the day, at your office, with a group of friends and then arrange your own packing day.

• Donations of any of the content items can be dropped at our office.

• Book your 67 minute time slot to come and volunteer at our office on the day – we have limited parking so booking is essential.

Items used for the packs: Facecloth and soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste, body lotion, deodorant, tissues, wet wipes, sanitary towels, bottled water, sweets and chips, colouring in books and crayons, soft toys, shampoo, hair brushes, hair elastics and clips, lip balm, notebooks and pens, surgical gloves and plasters, underwear for women, men and children (boys and girls).
