Collecting teddy bears for Toy Run

This year she wants to collect 3 000 bears.

ALBERTON’S Zanelle Huyzers, who has become known for her community work, is again collecting teddy bears and toys for the Toy Run.

“It is my passion to help the less fortunate children and elderly in the Alberton area,” she said.

The teddy bears and toys do not have to be new. The RECORD did an article about her in 2017 and 2018 where she collected more than 800 bears. This year her goal is to collect 3 000 bears and toys.

“A teddy bear can mean so much to not only children but also the elderly. I just want to give some hope to the people in need,” said Zanelle.

Teddy bears or toys can be dropped off at 10 Van Rensburg Street, Alberton North or contact her mother, Rika on 072 980 9835 if it needs to be picked up.
