Repairs to Rand Water burst pipe complete
Rand Water has started to pump water through the pipeline.
The City of Ekurhuleni advises that Rand Water has completed the repairs to burst water pipe that has caused water interruptions in some areas of Ekurhuleni.
Rand Water has started to pump water through the pipeline. However, due to the extent of the repairs and the longer duration of the work, most reservoirs are at lower levels than anticipated, said Themba Gadebe, spokesperson for the metro.
Full restoration will probably be at 10 pm on Monday night, August 5. Residents are advised that supply will be at low pressure in the meantime and pressure will be adjusted later in relation to demand.
