From Anand Dev Sharma, from India
A woman is a Masterpiece created by God with His very own hands.
But Being a woman is more than biology. It comes with a complexity of recognising herself. Once recognised, she can do anything and everything.
There is a difference between An ordinary Girl and A Woman.
Women empower one another. They don’t compete.
A Woman knows her worth, she never settles for less.
Not only for herself, but a woman stands for everyone.
A woman is concerned about her character on the inside. This is what makes her beautiful.
A woman wants respect. She doesn’t run for attention.
When others reacts, a woman responds.
Ask a girl what her man does for her and she’ll say: “He pays my bills, get my hair done, gives me money when I need it and takes care of me…”
Ask a woman what her man does for her and she’ll say: “He broadens my horizons, stimulates my mind, helps me put things into perspective, pushes me to fulfil my goals and gets me back on track when I steer off…”

From Sreelal, from India
A woman can speak a thousand words through her silence and her silence and presence has the power to replace sword with a pen from a veteran warrior’s hand.
This world has called women different names. Some has compared her to dew drops, tears, Goddess, nature and she is one of the preferred subjects for poets.
I once called a woman “My life”
A woman can be found in all paths of your life and it is you who has to choose the path.
A baby travels its path and it finds his priceless mother,
A father travels his path and he finds his lovely daughter,
A brother travels his path and he finds his amazing sister.
The path is very important and you always need to travel through the right path.

When my five-year old was being dropped off at the kindergarten last week, he attempted to cry and cling to his dad’s leg. His dad looked over and saw a little girl with light brown hair and rosy cheeks. Without saying a word, she came over, gave our son a hug, and walked him to the class.
That is a little woman.

Abhighyaa Jain, from India
Woman and female – there lies a huge difference.
A woman is one who has the courage to bear everything when it comes to peace of her beloved.
At the same time, she is courageous enough to fight the world for the happiness of the same people.
She never lets go of the things she believes in and the people she loves even if they are jerks of the highest order.
She is strong. She is kind. She is rebel. She is determined. She is laborious.
As stated, behind every man’s success, there is a woman.
Why to discuss more when the truth is you, me and each human on this planet came to this world because of a woman – our mothers.
Salute to every woman on the planet.

Rahul Vishwakarma, from India
Every woman has a past. Some were physically abused. Some had violent parents. Some had pubertal issues. Some had sexual abuse as a child from their own family members. Some had messed up love stories. Some had been forced into sex in the name of love. Some had been drugged. Some were date raped. Some had been viciously photographed on bed. Some had been blackmailed by their ex-boyfriends. Some were in an abusive relationship. Some had menstrual problems. Some had a broken family. Some had a divorce. Some had an obesity issue. Some had financial droughts. Some had drug or alcohol addiction. Some had a few unsuccessful suicide attempts.
If you see a woman, who went through any of these but had already wiped her tears, tied her hair up, masked her sorrows with a divine smile, stood tall and strong, started walking towards her future because she still has some hope left inside her and has not given up on the concept of love that still exists in this world, do not stab her with her past. Do not confront her. Do not slap her with more abuse. Give way for her and walk beside her. Maybe hold her hands and walk for a while. You’ll know how sweet that soul is and how strong her hopes are. You’ll be amazed at how she carries herself after all her energy has been sucked out.
She need not always be only the woman next door or from a different home. She could be your own friend, your own sister, your own girlfriend, your own wife, even maybe your own mother.
Do not judge her by her past. Gift her the peaceful future that she deserves. Hold her hands against the world, which knows only to judge. Give her the love that she always yearned for … and then she will make you realise that what really is a woman.

A Woman.
A self-less, brave and an emotionally strong creature.
She will never let go of the people she loves. She is actually a blessing on this earth. She plays many roles in each one of our lives: a strong mother, an understanding wife, a loving sister alias mother, a lovely daughter, a soulmate.
She speaks through her silence and it is very powerful. I would say this world (At least in rural side where women are illiterate, depending on their husband or children) is little cruel to her.
She tolerates every torture, every insult, every discomfort. But she never protests against those.
There are many women around us who protect their family, without whom the family is incomplete, who protects and hides all the flaws of their loved ones. She is the one who brings respect to the family. She hides all pains within her eyes. Only her world will understand. (The irony is her world only gives her the pain in majority cases).
I would like to write about one amazing woman whom I have seen a few times, whom I know.
She is the mother of two children. A daughter and a son.
She has struggled a lot all through her life. She handled her abusive husband. Because of the continuous torture, she got separated from her husband and stayed with her parents, took her son along with her. She left her daughter with her husband. They lived some miles apart. This woman sacrificed her life only for her son.
She joined her husband after some years just in thought that her daughter will get a good life and their family will be united forever. But unfortunately, her daughter committed suicide. She failed to bring up her daughter. She failed to make her daughter to understand what life is. Her daughter ended her life when she was in early 20s. This very thing annoyed her a lot. She feels very guilty about her daughter’s loss.
From that day on, she is living her life for her only son.
Tolerated many things, many words on her character, many illnesses. She tried to show her relatives and the people surrounded that her son is no less than anyone. She puts her son in a good education out of all her troubles.
I touched this woman’s hand twice. It was very soft. Her voice is very mild. She shows respect to everyone. She calls me ‘Maryamma’. She is very much confident about her son. She loves her son a lot. She lives for her son.
She failed to understand that a human’s personality is formed between nul and six years old. She failed to understand that if the childhood given to the child is bad, it has a direct effect in his/her future behaviour.
She has dedicated her life to her family.
She is a woman. One of its kind. I respect this woman.

*Woke up in the morning and mom was coughing*
Me : Mom, are you fine?
Mom : Yes, son. (coughing)
*I touched her forehead and it was burning*
Me : Mom, you have fever!
Mom : It’s nothing!
*I brought the thermometer and checked her temperature, it was 102°C*
Me : Mom, you have high fever! Why are you still cleaning dishes in water?
Mom : Son, our maid hasn’t come today. Your dad has to go to office. I have to prepare food.
Me : But Mom, your fever will be increased!
Mom : Haha son, you don’t know a thing!
Me : What?
Mom : When you were in the hostel, I used to get fever every single night and did works in the morning.
Me : Dad didn’t do anything?
Mom : He was doing but I don’t want to give any household work to a person who struggles day and night for our good living.
Me: (crying) Mom, please sit for a while.
*I made tea and gave it to mom, she felt relaxed*
Me : Mom, I’ll order food. You don’t need to worry about.
Mom : Son, you came home after a very long time. I don’t want to feed you junk foods. I’ll prepare by myself.
Me : But Mom, you have high fever!
Mom : Fever is nothing in front of love.
Yes, woman is the other name of goddess. They take care of every well-being of their family. They tolerate every disease, insult, torture, but they don’t protest. They eat at last because they want to see happiness in other’s face while eating the food. Our happiness is the food of them. On adverse circumstances, they become strong and protect her family from every possible danger by sacrificing her own happiness.
This is a woman.

All the above are few manifestations of love in my life from various women who have been the hammer on the anvil of my life.
They have made me the man I am today.
They rewrite me each and every day with their little dew drops of love.
They tend to never surprise me, even in the darkest times, that a little care and affection will go miles and miles before you sleep.
They make men, men.
A woman is the nature’s manifestation of love.
That’s what a woman is.
Love.
Hope.
Strength.
Desire.
Weakness.
Future.
Past.
Present.
Time.
Celebrate the women in your life, not because today it is Women’s Day but because you are a man.
Only a real man can appreciate the true wonder being – woman.
