Cosmic Haven presented a Women’s Day celebration on August 9 at Rietvlei Zoo Farm in Mulbarton through numerous inspirational talks that touched on issues that affect women.

TO CELEBRATE and empower women, Cosmic Haven presented a Women’s Day celebration on August 9 at Rietvlei Zoo Farm.

It was a great turnout of women from all walks of life who got together for inspirational talks that touched on issues affecting women.

Cosmic Haven, a non-profit organisation (NPO) based in the South of Johannesburg, was founded in 2006 with the purpose to heal and empower women.

On the day, women were engaged in activities that aimed to bring self-love and mental healing to attendees.

A few males who came through also had an opportunity to be educated on feminine issues.

The group of 50 attendees took part in a group nature walk, meditations, interactive group talks, yoga and card readings.

The reflecting activities and talks were presented by different speakers and focused on self-confidence and self-discovery.

Among many other speakers was a cancer patient, Premila Chetty, who shared some of her life experiences.

Leola Rammble, founder of Cosmic Haven, told the RECORD that through the event they wanted women to embrace their uniqueness.

“This was our first event where we managed to get women from all demographics to experience healing and unite with other women.

“We wanted to create awareness from what we have been through and encourage others through that. Our main focus was to promote love and make women accept themselves the way they are,” she said.
