Learn how to provide palliative care

The five days will include topics such as pain assessment and symptoms management, loss, grief and bereavement, communication skills and end-of-life decision making.

PALLIATIVE care has now been introduced into the National Health Care system and more people, whether in their workplace or because of personal circumstances, now want to learn the skills around providing palliative care.

Stepping Stone Hospice is hosting a five-day Introduction to Palliative Care course in September and you are more than welcome to register.

The course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to provide palliative care. It’s a 40-hour course spread over five days and participants will receive a certificate of completion.

The five days will include topics such as pain assessment and symptoms management, loss, grief and bereavement, communication skills and end-of-life decision making.

The course will run on September 10, 11, 12, 19 and 20 daily from 8.30am to 3.30pm.

Cost is R3 500, which includes refreshments and lunch.
