PRESIDENT Cyril Ramaphosa recently signed an Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic Offences (Aarto) bill into law. The demerit points system has been introduced to penalise offensive drivers but also reward law-abiding road users. The RECORD asked Albertonians if they thought the new law would help reduce traffic violations.
