GEORGE Enslin (80), who had been keeping a piece of municipal veld in General Alberts Park in pristine condition, sadly died on October 16 from a heart attack.

The pensioner, who resided in General Alberts Park used his time, equipment and money to make sure the veld was in its original good state. At his age, he voluntarily did this for four years where he mowed the lawn and planted flowers in the veld.

The humble 80-year-old’s memorial service will take place on October 22 at 2pm at Bassonia Seventh-day Adventist Church.
