To raise much-needed funds, the SPCA put up its Christmas stand outside the Pick n Pay Bracken City on November 21.

The Tree of Light is an annually hosted fund-raising event that gives Albertonians an opportunity to give back for a good cause.

Here you can purchase Christmas accessories for your furry friends.

The stand also serves as a drop off point for donations which may include dog food or anything which could be of use to pets.

On offer for the Greater Alberton residents are pet toys, crackers, Christmas gift bags, calendars and second hand books for book lovers.

The Christmas stand, which will be on display until Christmas eve, is open from Thursdays to Saturdays between 9am and 4pm.

SPCA volunteers are from left Gunter van der Berg, Elouise Krause and Jarrad Williams.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
