Artistic learners compete in peace poster competition

Three schools, which included Glenanda Primary, President Steyn Primary and General Alberts Primary, took part in the peace poster contest.

For over 30 years Lions clubs around the world have proudly sponsored the Lions International Peace Poster Contest in local schools and youth groups.

Jordan Holtzhausen, a learner from President Steyn Primary School, achieved fourth place at the Lions Convention.

The three schools which participated in the competition were Glenanda Primary, President Steyn Primary and General Alberts Primary.

The art contest for learners, aged between 11 and 13, encouraged youngsters worldwide to express their visions of peace.

Each poster was judged on originality, artistic merit and expression of the theme.

The theme of the 2019 to 2020 peace poster contest was ‘Journey of Peace’.
