[GALLERY + VIDEO]: Alberton LOTS celebrates Christmas on the street

LOTS ended their street outreach programme for 2019 when they took to the streets with their annual Christmas outreach on December 19.

Alberton Life on the Streets (LOTS) ended their street outreach programme for 2019 when they took to the streets with their annual Christmas outreach.

This was in addition to their weekly outreach, which is hosted every Thursday.

LOTS is a non-profit organisation which consists of a group of Christians who serve the homeless of greater Alberton areas.

During the evening the group did five stops, mostly in Alberton North areas where the homeless sleep.

During their rounds on the evening, the group took part in numerous activities which left smiles on the faces of those they visited.

They sung Christmas carols which were accompanied by a Bible reading, some insight and a prayer.

The homeless were provided with a delicious meal, dessert and coffee.

Each person was handed a LOTS goodie backpack comprising toiletries, a Bible and a rain poncho.

To help make a difference with either voluntarily offering your services to LOTS or by means of any donations, contact Eric McKechnie on 082 570 4330 or eric@lotsalberton.co.za
