Eight-year-old wins two championships
She has now been promoted to premium champion status for her freestyle solo section.
Tayla-Jade Brits, an eight-year-old dancer from Alberton, recently won two championship titles.
She walked away as champion for the girls’ championship slow dance (girls u-8 and u-9) and the girls’ championship freestyle solo (girls u-8 and u-9) at the South African Freestyle Dance Championships held in Pretoria. Tayla-Jade has now been promoted to premium champion status for her freestyle solo section, which is the highest status level one can achieve in competitive freestyle dancing.
All this, she has achieved within a space of 15 months.
Tayla-Jade’s success comes from hard work, a deep passion for dance and constant encouragement by her dance trainers from Universal Dance Centre and her gymnastic coaches from Germiston Gymnastics Club.
