JKA South Bassonia karate club rake in medals

With over 180 competitors in 65 divisions, the 13th Karate Syndicate Mario Marques Memorial Championship was a resounding success for the members of JKA South Bassonia karate club.

Altogether 70 individual medals, including gold for Open Men’s Kumite, Graeme Bennett, gold for Open Women’s Kata, Brittany Shepstone, and silver for Women’s Open Kumite, the dojo members did their instructors proud.

Classes are held Monday to Thursday with special classes for Dinky Warriors, four to seven years.
