Alberton SAPS conducts school searches

Members of the Alberton SAPS and other cluster stations visited Leondale Secondary School and Hoërskool Marais Viljoen High School for school searches on February 4.

Members of the Alberton SAPS and other cluster stations visited Leondale Secondary School and Hoërskool Marais Viljoen High School for school searches recently.

According to Capt Manare Ramotshela, spokesperson for Alberton SAPS, the operation was handled professionally and was declared a success.

“We had Alberton social crime members and other district stations on the ground who prepared for the search. The district K9 unit provided one vehicle, a sniffing dog and two members who assisted with the search,” he said.

The search operation was led by Capt Buyisile Mvelase.
