CPF chairperson shares his goals for the Alberton community
“To make Alberton a crime-free area.”
Pieter Schreiber is serving his second term as the chairperson of the Alberton Community Policing Forum (CPF). A term is five years.
Before he was elected chairperson, he served a term as deputy chairperson and he was also acting chairperson for a year.
“I also served as a deputy chairperson and chairperson of sub-sector 2B Verwoerdpark / Florentia for a term.
“Furthermore, I was elected as the PRO for the old Germiston Cluster in the previous term. The Germiston Cluster is now known as the Ekurhuleni West Cluster,” Pieter added.
The RECORD recently interviewed Pieter to ask him what his goals as a chairperson for the CPF are?
He replied by saying that his goal is to help the Alberton CPF grow from strength to strength and to keep on fighting crime, together with the community and all the other stakeholders within Alberton to make Alberton a crime-free area.
According to him, the reason the community should get involved with organisations like the CPF is because crime affects everyone directly or indirectly.
“Each community member wants to live and work without fear of being a victim of crime. By joining the Alberton CPF, the community can assist in combating crime.
“There are different ways of being involved in the Alberton CPF. I would like to encourage the community to attend the sub sector meetings.”
