Ten people injured in a taxi rollover near Southgate

JMPD as well as SAPS were on scene for further investigations.

At least 10 people have been injured, two critically and four seriously, when the taxi they were travelling in rolled down an embankment of the Golden Highway, Southgate, on March 6.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 7.52pm to find many of the patients sitting or walking around the area of the incident.

Other private services were on scene, as well as provincial emergency services.

Two patients were found to be in a critical condition and one was airlifted by a medical helicopter to a private hospital in the area.

ER24 treated a seriously injured 37-year-old female with advanced life-support interventions before transporting the patient to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital for further care.

A further three patients had suffered serious injuries and the remainder, minor injuries. They were all adults, both male and female.

JMPD as well as SAPS were on scene for further investigations.
