Steel and Pipe celebrates 20 years
Service delivery from Steel and Pipe started in 1994
Alberton – Steel and Pipe, based at 65 6th Avenue, Alberton North, celebrated 20 years of service delivery on March 3 with a selection of cupcakes, a large cake, snacks and drinks for the staff and customers.
Steel and Pipe opened it’s doors in 1994 and was founded by Johan Malan, who is well known in the steel industry for many years, according to Sales Director Etienne Oelofse. Etienne says Alberton Steel started in a double garage with three people and three bakkies.
Today the company is blessed to employ 60 people and trade from two premises in Alberton North. “Our biggest success is our prompt service with deliveries to our customers in the PWV area within six hours, where possible using numerous heavy, medium and light delivery vehicles,” said Etienne.
