50 more Covid-19 cases recorded in Ekurhuleni

Seven deaths had been recorded so far while 574 patients had recovered.

The number of positive Covid-19 cases in Ekurhuleni has risen to 246 by April 20.

According to the latest figures released by the Gauteng Department of Health on Tuesday, the number of cases in Gauteng had increased from 1 018 on April 17 to 1 170 on April 20.

Seven deaths had been recorded so far while 574 patients had recovered.

The latest figures for Gauteng are (with the figures released on April 17 in brackets):

Johannesburg: 698 (599)

Tshwane: 122 (110)

West Rand: 39 (35)

Sedibeng: 11 (10)

Ekurhuleni: 246 (196)

Unallocated: 54 (68)

Total: 1 018 (909)
