The company took a day out to generously donate with a handful of clothes to Alberton North’s informal settlement on May 20.

REACT 24, a security company, took a day out to generously donate clothes to Alberton North’s informal settlement on May 20.

With the help of Alberton SPCA, they paired up to make a difference with donations to the informal settlement’s residents. After a collection from keen donors, the security company handed over pre-loved clothes, toys, blankets and a few meals to keep residents going.

Alberton SPCA gave out dog food and four packs of cat food.

Garfield Venter, director at REACT 24, said the visit was aimed at making a difference to the residents.

“We had two bakkie loads full of clothes, which we delivered today and we still have a lot of donations coming through. The country is currently in crisis and we are all taking strain, but despite it all we have stepped forward and offered to help,” she said.

He thanked 32-Bn veterans for making the handover a success with the collection of donations of food and clothes.
Venter said he also donates food and clothing parcels to orphanage homes.

He told the RECORD that they will soon be visiting the other section of the informal settlement.

Esmarelda Dreyer, one of the residents at the informal settlement, thanked the team for paying them a visit on the day.
