Accident at shopping centre entrance
A traffic accident occurred on the corner of Swartkoppies Road and Potgieter Street on Tuesday June 10.
ALBERTON – According to witnesses a Silver Chevy was travelling from Alberton on Swartkoppies to turn left in to Potgieter Street. A heavy motor vehicle was travelling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the Chevy wanted to turn left into the premisses of the shopping center.
The heavy motor vehicle wanted to turn right into the premisses of the shopping centre. They collided at the entrance of the centre.
The driver of the Silver Chevy was transported to the Union hospital. He was in a stable condition.
