Caxton Reynolds Race sharp shooter challenge (Round three)
At some point in our lives we have spent some time learning how to fire rubber bands from our fingers in order to hit a target, or to hit our brothers or our friends.
JOHANNESBURG – On Saturday June 21 Caxton Reynolds Race took all the contestants of the race down memory lane with a rubber band game called “Sharp shooter challenge”.
The contestants battled it out at Hirsch’s Meadowdale in Edenvale.
This game required the teams to employ their rubber band shooting skills in order to knock over as many playing cards as they can.
Each team received a bunch of elastic bands and had to shoot down as many playing cards as they could, out of 15 cards, from a certain distance. The team that knocked down the highest number of cards within 60 seconds won the highest scores.
The Reynolds Race is based on the popular television series, Amazing Race, and requires participating teams to complete various tasks across the East Rand in order to win the big prize.
The winners of this year’s race will win an all-expenses paid trip to Zanzibar, sponsored by SA Reynolds Travel Centre from Springs.
The Benoni and Brakpan team were unable to show up for this challenge, which earned both teams zero points.
The fourth round of the competition will be held in Boksburg on June 28.
The three teams with the most points by the end of the seventh week of the race will all go into the finals, which will be held in Springs on August 2.
See the score card below for the results of round three.
