Alberton SAPS Victim Support needs volunteers

The Alberton SAP Victim Support is expanding and turning to the community to help them do so.

ALBERTON – They strive to give a service that is available 24 hours of the day and seven days a week. The Alberton SAP Victim Support centre is in need of volunteers. Volunteers would be men and women from the community who offer up their time and skills.

Volunteers play the important role of supporting victims of crime in and around Alberton.

“All volunteers will receive training on an ongoing basis in spheres of defusing, debriefing and providing emotional and practical support for victims,” the spokesperson for the SAPS explains.

Volunteers need their own transport and a valid driver’s licence. Should you be interested in joining the Alberton SAP Victim Support team, please contact Tammy on 0823717053. Applications close on the July 22, 2014.
