Street becomes a donga

Tar surfaces being washed away

HEAVY rains that came down on March 8 is long forgotten, but the damage still remains.

Many streets were damaged by the storm water with the tar surfaces being washed away, and although some streets were fixed, Datsun Street was left unattended.

What started as surface damage has in the past five months developed into a deep and dangerous donga, which could break ankles or legs at night during load shedding or during the day when pedestrians loose their footing.

Many pedestrians commented that they would want to know when repairs will ever take place as this is really bad service delivery. Some worry about the rainy season which is fast approaching and that by December, there will be nothing of the surface left.
