Cluster Women’s Day at Germiston SAPS

The cluster meeting for Women’s Day was organised by Cluster Commander Brigadier S P Mdlankomo and was a huge success.

ALBERTON – All ladies working at the Germiston Cluster were invited to a Women’s Day function. They were requested to dress as a team and to decorate their table station by station.

The motive of the day was to open a Victim Empowerment Centre for the members who work for The South African Police Service, who also experience domestic violence in their private family life when not on duty.

The Brigadier mentioned that women in blue always help others on a daily basis, but they neglect to be helped themselves. She mentioned that it is important to her to take care of the women working under her command. She even gave four elderly women presents of blankets as she mentioned that the ladies always do so much for the community, but no one is doing something for them.

Food and drinks were served on the day. Pastor Daniel was there to further motivate the ladies. All Cluster Station Commanders, the Area Commissioner of Correctional Service, the Family Court Magistrate, the SANCA Doctor and the Senior Officer from women’s network were present as VIP guests.
