Women critically injured near Gray Avenue

Earlier this morning a female pedestrian was hit by a motor vehicle on the N3 north bound close to Alberton.

ALBERTON – A woman believed to be in her thirties was critically injured after she was knocked over by a motor vehicle on the N3 north bound, just before the Gray Avenue off-ramp in Alberton this morning.

The woman was found on the roadway by paramedics, suffering from critical injuries.

“The Netcare1 helicopter was activated to airlift the critically injured woman to hospital for the urgent medical care she requires. Traffic was affected following the accident and for Netcare1 to land on the scene,” a Netcare 911 spokesperson explained.

Details surrounding the accident and preceding events are still unknown and will remain the subject of a police investigation.

  1. Hi the lady that was knocked over on grey avenue this morning was my 25 year old nanny (looked after my 11 month old ) She had a husband and two children. She was a beautiful person and great friend to my daughter and our family. She will be forever missed. Love the Wiles family xxx
