Local security company and paramedics help elderly man

A resident of the Alberton Retirement Village was assisted by a local security company and paramedics after he had trouble breathing.

ALBERTON – Fox Security received a medical panic alert from one of the residents at the Alberton Retirement Village in Kritzinger Road on October 9 at 00:15 in the morning.

On their arrival the reaction officer found an elderly man struggling to breathe.

The Reaction officer requested medical assistance, and helped while they were waiting for the Medical Assistance to arrive.

Paramedics arrived on the scene and found that the elderly man had an object stuck in his throat.

Paramedics transported him to the hospital. He has since been discharged and is recovering at home.
