Living in stinky filth

Residents claim that metro workers demanded money before they could start working.

EDENPARK – House number 30 Studebaker Street is in a mess with smelly sewage filling the property. The drain has been blocked since the first week of September and the Metro is not helping at all.

It is alleged by the family that the drain was reported to the Metro and a reference number was given. Workers did arrive to look at the drain but demanded R200 before they would work on the blocked drain.

The family claimed that the owner, their mother, is an indigent resident and could not afford R200.
