Festive cheers and smiles at Christmas party
Some 350 children from various East Rand-based orphanages were treated to a fantasy Christmas party by Carnival City and the Afrisun Trust on December 2.
ALBERTON – The youngsters, aged between six and 12, romped on jumping castles and water slides and played to their hearts’ content in a giant foam pit. There were boat rides, a range of fun-filled outdoor games, face painting and interactions with visiting clowns.
Father Christmas himself also made a surprise visit, bearing a gift for each child.
Carnival City’s service providers hopped on board to sponsor food and refreshments. These included Headline Leisure Management, Fedics and Wimpy. This was the 8th annual Christmas party that Afrisun East Rand Trust and Carnival City hosted for orphaned children in Ekurhuleni.
